Abstract
Treatment with gibberellic acid can increase the germination of Solanum laciniatum and S. aviculare seed to more than 90% and 80% respectively in 3 weeks under laboratory conditions. Stratification and thiourea treatments can also increase germination but their effects are inconsistent. Adequate germination of S. laciniatum can be obtained by treating seed with gibberellic acid and maintaining it in dry storage for 6 weeks after treatment. © 1976 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
