Abstract
This research aims to develop colloidal system teaching material that are feasible to be used in chemistry learning at secondary school level. Colloidal system teaching material were developed because there are indications that the current teaching materials are not fully in accordance with curriculum demands, still contain material that are not in accordance with the scientific rules, there are only a few values and skills, and tend to still focus on the dimensions of content. Research method in this study was Richey's and Klein's development research consists of design (at this stage, problem analysis was carried out on teaching material and literature studies on the development of teaching materials), development (at this stage, used the 4S TMD method consists of four steps: selection, structuring, characterization, and didactical reduction), and evaluation (at this stage, evaluation of the draft of teaching material is done by an expert lecturer in the field of chemistry education to assess the feasibility of teaching material). The result of the evaluation concluded that the teaching material developed have the characteristics of presentation material based on K.D. 3.15 and K.D. 4.15, scientifically correct, there were values and skills developed, concept maps according to the rules of concept mapping, and in accordance with the structure and systematics of teaching materials. The test results of the understanding of teaching materials have a percentage of 89.57 % with independently category (self-instructional). The feasibility test results of teaching materials have a percentage of 95.42 % with a very feasible category.
