HUBUNGAN TIPE KEPRIBADIAN EKSTROVERT-INROVERT DENGAN KESEPIAN PADA MAHASISWA DI UNIVERSITAS X

Abstract

The extrovert personality type has characteristics such as having many friends, and needing friends to chat, opposite to introvert personality type, it has characteristics such as less talk-active, shyness and nerd instead. This research aims at knowing the correlation between Extrovert-Introvert Personality Type and Loneliness in Students at University X. This research is conducted on 2017,2018 and 2019 students by using quantitative descriptive method. Cluster Random Sampling is used in collecting data, collecting data is assisted by Solvin formula. There are ninety seven sample. There are two scales as research instrument, scale ekstrovert-introvert personality type is created by Eysenk and scale loneliness is created by Bruno. Hypothesis test is conducted by using correlational test. Result shows between two variables (X1 to Y) sig value is 0,001 < 0,05 with coefficient correlation value is 0,185 (r = 185). It is indicating “there is no correlation between ekstrovert-introvert and loneliness”, while (X2 to Y) X2 on Y has sig value is 0,000 < 0,05 and it is coefficient correlation is 0,346 (r = 346). It is indicating “there is low positive correlating between introvert and loneliness.
