This text addresses the migratory project and the careers paths of Latin American women who work as paid carers in the domestic sphere in the Great Valencia. From the use of a qualitative methodology several conclusions are reached: There is a multicausal explanation of the migratory projects, predominantly those of an economic/labour nature, and that their career paths are characterized by their maintenance in the same occupations with slight changes related or with modifications in very specific sectors. In addition, those who had seen their positions in the labour market or their employment conditions improved, the Great Recession has negatively affected them, truncating or interrupting their trajectories: Job losses, worse working conditions, sporadic jobs, return to their countries of origin (with or without success) or geographical mobility, both in Spain and abroad.
