Development of Android-Based Interactive Mobile Learning with Guided Inquiry Models to Improve Higher Order Thinking Skills on Light Wave Material

Abstract

This research aims to produce Android-based interactive mobile learning with a guided inquiry model of light wave material that is able to improve students' HOTS abilities. This research is a 4D model type research. The research was conducted at MAN 1 Ponorogo, MAN 2 Ponorogo, and SMAN 1 Badegan. The research subjects were 149 class XI MIPA students who gave a pretest-posttest. Student pretest-posttest data were analyzed using 1-way ANOVA to determine the differences in students' HOTS skills in the control and experimental classes. Based on the 1-way ANOVA test, it was found that there were differences in students' HOTS abilities in the two classes. Classes that use Android-based interactive car learning get higher results compared to classes that don't use Android-based interactive car learning.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Android-based interactive mobile learning materi gelombang cahaya yang layak, mengetahui respon siswa, dan tingkat keefektifannya dalam meningkatkan kemampuan HOTS siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan model tipe 4D. Penelitian dilakukan di MAN 1 Ponorogo, MAN 2 Ponorogo, dan SMAN 1 Badegan. Subyek penelitian berjumlah 149 siswa kelas XI MIPA. Data hasil penilaian kelayakan dianalisis menggunakan skor rata-rata, dan data hasil validasi instrumen HOTS dianalisis menggunakan Aiken's V. Data hasil uji coba luas dianalisis menggunakan 1-way ANOVA. Hasil penilaian produk dan uji validasi serta instrumen penelitian oleh validator ahli berada pada kriteria sangat layak digunakan dan valid. Hasil pengujian produk terbatas menunjukkan bahwa produk mudah dibaca dan praktis. Sedangkan hasil uji empiris instrumen soal HOTS didapatkan bahwa soal-soal tersebut kriterianya valid dan reliabel. Berdasarkan uji Anova 1 jalur diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,000 yang menunjukkan adanya perbedaan kemampuan HOTS siswa antara kedua kelas. Hasil parsial eta squared diperoleh nilai 0,310 yang termasuk dalam kriteria tinggi.
