Tinjauan Persepsi Penghuni Gedung terhadap Sistem Proteksi Kebakaran di Gedung Y Tahun 2022 sebagai Bagian dari Budaya K3

Abstract

ABSTRACT There is a contradiction with the threat of fire incidents that often befall office buildings which demand a system capable of preventing and overcoming fires, namely a system that is 'self-contained' but rarely contributes. The facts show that fire incidents are more often related to non-technical issues such as community culture, where people think that fires are not a form of routine occurrence and people perceive fires as something that is not common so people's readiness for it is very minimal. The population in this study were all employees living in building Y, where the sample was the entire population using a cross-sectional design and a quantitative approach. In general, the results of research on workers' perceptions of the fire protection system in Building Y showed good results, that 55% of the respondents had high perceptions. But basically, it will be more. even better if the percentage of workers' high perceptions reaches the ideal proportion of 100%. Therefore, efforts to socialize the fire protection system in Building X should be carried out gradually and periodically. Keywords: Perception, Fire, K3  ABSTRAK Terdapat kontradiksi terhadap ancaman peristiwa kebakaran yang kerap menimpa gedung perkantoran yang menuntut adanya sebuah sistem yang mampu mencegah dan menanggulangi kebakaran yaitu suatu sistem yang ‘self contained’ namun justru jarang berkontribusi. Fakta menunjukkan bahwa peristiwa kebakaran justru lebih sering terkait dengan masalah nonteknis seperti budaya masyarakat, dimana menganggap bahwa kebakaran bukanlah suatu bentuk kejadian yang rutin terjadi dan masyarakat menganggap kebakaran sebagai sebuah hal yang tidak umum sehingga kesiapan masyarakat terhadapnya sangat minim. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh karyawan yang menghuni gedung Y, dimana sampelnya adalah keseluruhan dari populasi tersebut dengan menggunakan desain cross sectional dan pendekatan kuantitatif. Secara umum hasil penelitian mengenai persepsi pekerja terhadap sistem proteksi kebakaran di Gedung Y menunjukkan hasil yang baik, bahwa 55% respondennya memiliki persepsi tinggi. Namun pada dasarnya, akan lebih. baik lagi jika persentase persepsi tinggi pekerja mencapai proporsi ideal yaitu 100%. Oleh karena itu sebaiknya upaya sosialisasi sistem proteksi kebakaran di Gedung X harus terus dilakukan secara bertahap dan berkala. Kata Kunci: Persepsi, Kebakaran, K3
