PENERAPAN PROGRAM PEMBERDAYAAN DAN KESEJAHTERAAN KELUARGA (PKK) DALAM UPAYA PENINGKATAN KESEJAHTERAAN EKONOMI MASYARAKAT MUSLIM DI KELURAHAN PERINTIS MEDAN

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of the economic empowerment program of the Purwo Street Perintis Medan District residents, and to determine the impact of PKK activities on the level of economic prosperity of the Purwo Perintis Medan Road residents. The method in this research uses descriptive analysis research method by conducting surveys directly in the field. The results showed that the application of the economic empowerment program carried out in Perintis Village, East Medan District had a positive impact on increasing the income of the community besides this, with the existence of the PKK program, it could increase the community' s knowledge and skills. In its implementation, the empowerment and family welfare program concerns ten programs, but in this study the focus is on empowerment in the economic field. This implementation was carried out in several counseling conducted by PKK, which were 187 counseling conducted with 45 permanent cadres in 2009, 139 counseling with 45 permanent cadres in 2010 and in 2011 and 2012 conducted 32 times with 40 counselors with 40 permanent cadres.
