Cytotoxicity of novel hydrazide-hydrazone derivatives towards tumor and normal cell lines

Abstract

THE REACTION of cyanoacetyl hydrazone with ninhydrin gave the hydrazide - hydrazone derivative 3. The reactivity of the later product towards different chemical reagents was studied. The cytotoxicity of the newly synthesized products was measured towards the three cancer cell lines, namely breast adenocarcinoma (MCF-7), non-small cell lung cancer(NCI-H460) and CNS cancer (SF-268).
