Abstract

Despite intensive study, the role of CCR5 in cancer remains elusive. We showed that CCR5 expression by both CD4+ and CD8+ T cells is necessary to boost anti-tumor responses by optimizing helper-dependent CD8+ T cell priming. Our findings could have implications for cancer treatment in patients with defective CCR5 expression. © 2012 Landes Bioscience.
