Abstract

87Sr/86Sr ratios (0.70327-0.70364) and contents of K, Rb and Sr in basaltic rocks dredged from the en­virons of the Western Jan Mayen Fracture Zone compare well with isotopic compositions (mean 0. 70343) and elemental values of volcanic rocks from Jan Mayen Island.
