Abstract

The key aspect of IOT is interoperability, the potential of different technologies, different hardware platforms, various communication protocols, different operating systems to communicate with each other. Mobile support is required for interoperability between fixed and mobile nodes. As wireless nodes have certain limitations, like reduced power, low-energy and limited resources, attention is required while designing the mobility management scheme. The main challenge in Low Power and Mobile Network is to provide Quality of Service along with the support of mobility. In this paper, latest work in the mobility support of RPL has been discussed in detail along with their contributions and shortcomings.
