Case Study: A Visual Analytics System, Sapientia

Abstract

The visual analytics is increasingly drawing attention according to the fast growing trend of big data. To meet the demands of the times, the project was carried out to make a working prototype of visual analytics system for big data analysis.The visual analytics system 'Sapientia' was planned for providing big data analytics service. By performing user researches to establish user-centered UX strategy, it provides intuitive and convenient UI, which is able to easily control the pipeline of data analysis and also customize the UI depending on the purpose of use.We anticipate that 'Sapientia' will be able to encourage the expansion of big data analysis and also be able to contribute to finding new business opportunities and enhancing the business capabilities of company. © Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2014.
