Abstract

In this paper we report the synthesis of Ce doped TiO2 (n-type) and composite of reduced graphene oxide with carbon nanofiber (p-type) for hetrojunction fabrication. Ce-TiO2 was synthesized via solution approach and rGO-CNF via solvothermal method. XRD, SEM-EDX, UV–Vis, HRTEM and Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) techniques were used to characterize the thin film. EIS and Current-Voltage (I-V) characteristics study revealed that rGO–CNF/Ce–TiO2 based p-n hetrojunction favour fast charge carrier transport at the interface.
