Abstract
Post-structuralist feminism is the theoretical perspective that guides this analysis. The debate concerning the notions of “law”, “justice” and “recognition” illustrates the discussion. Our intention is to conduct a feminist-oriented conceptual sociological reflection, in order to constitute a theoretical basis for analyses concerning social policies, with the purpose of investigating the citizenship conditions of poor women and grasping the determinants of gender that are present in government-sponsored programs. We adopt the model proposed by Nancy Fraser, which combines the struggle for redistributive justice with the struggle for recognition justice.
