Abstract

This research explored the potential of digital videos and photographs to evaluate learning in preschool during COVID-19, when direct observation of student performance was impossible. A case study of a teacher was conducted. Videos and photographs of activities on different curricular fields were analyzed, and semi-structured interviews were conducted. Results showed the complementarity of these resources: photographs allowed the evaluation of finished products; video recordings showed the development process, family participation and learning environment. Together, they can facilitate the construction of articulated purposes between school and home and timely feedback.
