Abstract
A description is given of an event-step simulation model being developed for the FAA (US Federal Aviation Administration) that can be used to evaluate how a change in one component of the airspace system affects the flow of air traffic in the rest of the system. The primary measure of system performance in the model is delay. The model design, sample model applications, and future model enhancements are discussed.
