HEMŞİRELERDE BOYUN EĞİCİ DAVRANIŞLARIN MESLEKİ BENLİK SAYGISINA ETKİSİ

Abstract

Amaç: Bu çalışma, hemşirelerde boyun eğici davranışların mesleki benlik saygısına etkisinin incelenmesi amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir.Gereç ve Yöntemler: Bu araştırma ilişkisel tarama modeli kullanılarak tanımlayıcı tipte yapılmıştır. Araştırma verileri Marmara Bölgesi’nde bir il merkezindeki eğitim araştırma hastanesinde görev yapan ve araştırmaya katılmaya gönüllü olan 203 hemşireden elde edilmiştir. Verilerin toplanmasında, “Kişisel Bilgi Formu”, “Boyun Eğici Davranış Ölçeği (BEDÖ)” ve “Mesleki Benlik Saygısı Ölçeği (MBSÖ)” kullanılmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesi sayı, yüzde, ortalama, standart sapma, Pearson korelasyon analizi ve regresyon analizi kullanılarak yapılmıştır.Bulgular: Çalışmada yer alan hemşirelerin boyun eğici davranış düzeyine ilişkin toplam puan ortalaması 35.38±7.772 ve mesleki benlik saygısı toplam puan ortalaması ise 76.13±20.693 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Boyun eğici davranışın hemşirelerin mesleki benlik saygısını anlamlı şekilde yordamadığı belirlenmiştir (t=-.213, p=.832).Sonuç: Araştırma sonucunda, hemşirelerde boyun eğici davranış düzeyi ortalamanın altında, mesleki benlik saygısı ise orta düzeyde belirlenmiştir. Boyun eğici davranışın hemşirelerin mesleki benlik saygısını yordayan bir faktör olmadığı ortaya çıkmıştır.Anahtar Kelimeler: Boyun eğici davranış, hemşire, mesleki benlik saygısıObjective: The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of submissive behavior on professional self-esteem in nurses.Material and Methods: A descriptive type of research was conducted using relational screening model. The research data were obtained from 203 nurses working in an education and research hospital located in a city center in the Marmara Region and volunteering to participate in the research. In the collection of the data, "Personal Information Form", "Submissive Behavior Scale”, and "Professional Self-Esteem Scale" were used. Data were evaluated using number, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson correlation analysis and regression analysis.Results: The total mean score of the nurses related to submissive behavior was found to be 35.38±7.772 and a total mean score of professional self-esteem was found to be 76.13±20.693. As a result of the regression analysis, it was determined that the submissive behavior tendency was not a significant predictor the professional self-esteem of the nurses (t=-.213, p=.832).Conclusion: The level of submissive behaviors of nurses was found to be below average and their professional self-esteem was found as average. It was determined that submissive behavior tendency did not predict the professional self-esteem of nurses.
