Los estudios sobre percepción social de la ciencia

Abstract

Este artículo identifica y analiza las principales orientaciones sobre el estudio de las percepciones sociales de la ciencia. La exposición se articula en base a la dicotomía que representan el enfoque abstracto y el enfoque contextual. Desde el contexto interdisciplinario de los estudios de ciencia, en este trabajo trato de comprender los supuestos sobre ciencia y sociedad que presuponen ambas perspectivas, sus marcos de trabajo, principales cuestiones e hipótesis manejadas, así como las claves del debate actual.This paper identifies and analyses the main approaches to the study of the social perception of science. The discussion is structured around the dichotomy established by the abstract approach and the contextual approach. Placing this study within the interdisciplinary context of science studies, I try to understand both perspectives� underlying assumptions about science and society, as well as their working frameworks, their main issues and hypothesis and the keys to current debates.
