Abstract
The Effectiveness of Lemon Aromatherapy in Reducing Nausea and Vomiting in First Trimester Pregnant Women at the Jawa Maraja Health Center in 2024. Thesis, Department of Midwifery, Faculty of Midwifery, Deli Husada Deli Tua Health Institute. Nausea and vomiting are complaints that are often experienced by pregnant women in the first trimester due to an increase in the hormone HCG in the body of pregnant women. If this complaint is not resolved it will cause nutritional disorders in pregnant women, dehydration, lack of energy, and weight loss in pregnant women. If this incident continues, it will have an impact on pregnancy and the process of fetal growth and development. This study aims to identify the effectiveness of lemon aromatherapy in reducing nausea and vomiting in first trimester pregnant women. The research design is a quasi-experimental pre-post test one group. The sampling technique was purposive sampling of 30 people in the intervention group. Lemon aromatherapy given by inhalation for four days to first trimester pregnant women for every nausea and vomiting. The research location was at the Jawa Maraja Health Center. The study was conducted in December 2023-March 2024. The results showed a decrease in nausea and vomiting in first trimester pregnant women (p<0.05). So lemon aromatherapy is effective in reducing nausea and vomiting in first trimester pregnant women.
