Abstract

Traditionally, isoflavones have been categorised as weak estrogens. Nonetheless it is not easy to estimate the estrogeneity of isoflavones. Soya, as a source of isoflavones can lead to the sinking of breast and prostate cancer risk by means of more hormone dependent and non-dependent mechanisms. Therefore the frequent consumption of Soya is recommended.
