Abstract

The momentum transferred to the photo-electron was specified in terms of coefficients a1(u), u = ω/ω-0$/, ω = photon frequency, ω = threshold frequency. The coefficients were calculated analytically for hydrogen 1s, 2s, 3s, 2p, 3p and 3d. Previous studied have noted the discrepancy for the 3d state. The correct expression obtained in the present work gives agreement with the calculations of Peach and Massacrier.
