Abstract
This review maps what is being researched, concepts under construction and what is being published about Physical Education in the final years of Elementary School and the curriculum. We also seek to understand the perspectives from which that topic is being investigated. The review was conducted by searching articles in Brazilian online journals in the Physical Education area of Qualis A2, B1 and B2 strata. This review shows that Physical Education has been established differently in schools and that processes of curriculum construction have happened in distinct ways. Therefore, it is possible to understand Physical Education in elementary school in Brazil as plural and heterogeneous.
