Abstract
The true velocity, V, of ground water at a point in the ground‐water system may be expressed as the sum of a number of partial velocities labeled V1, V2, V3, et cetera. Each partial velocity may be denned as a velocity which results from the presence of certain features of the configuration of the water table. Partial velocities may be used to facilitate the discussion of ground‐water flow systems and associated phenomena. Copyright © 1970, Wiley Blackwell. All rights reserved
