Abstract

Laser surgery has been an integral part of otolaryngology procedures since first applied to the larynx nearly 20 years ago. New wavelengths and delivery systems are now available that may prove beneficial but also offer stimulating areas of research. Safe and judicious use of these devices is essential. This editorial describes current future applications of lasers in our specialty.
