Abstract
The chapter explores the dynamics that force change in public administration, noting it includes mimetic and coercive isomorphism. The study of context, historical, cultural, geographical and political, is of great importance to understanding the dynamics for change and ensuring that research in the field remains interdisciplinary, multi-methodological and relevant. The chapter discusses the future of public administration research and the need to address wicked issues.
