Abstract

Clinical data sharing is common for patient care, research, public health, and innovation. “Data sharing” is often ambiguous and multifaceted—involving ethical, legal, and social issues. We developed a six-tiered hierarchy, DaSH, explicating data sharing’s risks and ethical complexities for patient data privacy.
