Abstract

Abstrac. Lung cancer is one of the leading causes of death worldwide. Global Cancer Statistic shows the average age of lung cancer is 70 years. Based on the PIONEER study showed high EGFR (Epidermal Growth Factor receptor) mutations in lung adenocarcinoma. EGFR mutations are found more in females than males, more commonly found in nonsmokers, with racial asia. EGFR mutations occur in exons 18, 19, 20, 21. EGFR examination is recommended for lung cancer type adenocarcinoma and type of squamous cell carcinoma.Keyword : Adenocarcinoma kanker paru, mutatasi EGFR  Abstrak. Kanker paru merupakan salah satu penyebab kematian utama di seluruh dunia. Global Cancer Statistic menunjukkan usia rata-rata kanker paru adalah 70 tahun. Berdasarkan studi PIONEER menunjukkan mutasi EGFR (Epidermal Growth Factor receptor) tinggi pada Adenocarcinoma paru. Mutasi EGFR ditemukan lebih banyak pada perempuan dibandingkan laki-laki, lebih sering ditemukan pada bukan perokok, dengan rasasia. Mutasi EGFR terjadi pada exon 18, 19,20,21. Pemeriksaan EGFR di anjurkan untuk kanker paru jenis adenocarcinoma dan jenis squamous cell carcinoma. Keyword : Lung Cancer, Adenocarcinoma, EGFR Mutation
