Abstract

The government has set rules on Standards of Hotel and Restaurant through the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia Number 6 and 11 Year 2014. It is provide protection and security to travelers and to improve service quality travel services . This study aims to determine the readiness of businesses in the tourism service standard implementation of tourism businesses. Surveying the field for the collection of primary data in this study conducted on 18 businessmen and travel in four cities Denpasar and Yogyakarta to representing regions with a developed tourism industry then Mataram and Belitung to representing an area with a growing tourism industry. The results showed 87,5 % of hotels and restaurants who know the standard of hotel and restaurant are regulated by the Regulation of the Minister of Tourism. Hotels who are in areas with a developed tourism industry consist Bali and Yogyakarta has the ability to better conform the minimum requirements of the standard  by 71,4 % of respondents. Hotels are located in areas with developing tourism industry consist NTB and Ba ngka Belitung only 55,6% respondents are able to conform the minimum requirements of the standar d. Meanwhile, Restaurants respondets are nothing is able to conform the minimum requirements of the standard.
