Abstract

Literarische Gruppierungen wie die historischen Avantgarden haben sich im 20. Jahrhundert oftmals über Manifeste konstituiert. Die Gruppe 47 hat sich dagegen in Abgrenzung zu Avantgarde-Praktiken ohne Regelwerk und literarisches Programm als Treffpunkt mündlicher Literaturkritik gegründet. Ähnlich verhält es sich mit jener Gruppe der Popliteraten, deren Treffen 1999 im Hotel Adlon einer umfassenden Stilkritik des literarisch-kulturellen Lebens gewidmet war. Der Beitrag nimmt diese Beobachtung zum Anlass, unter Bezugnahme auf theoretische Konzepte von Michel Foucault und Peter Bürger den strukturellen und rhetorischen Analogien dieser beiden sehr unterschiedlichen und zugleich einflussreichen literarischen Gruppierungen nachzugehen.In the 20th century, literary groups such as the historical avant-gardes often constituted themselves through manifestos. As opposed to this, Group 47 was founded as a meeting place for oral literary criticism, in contrast to avant-garde practices without a set of rules or a literary program. The situation is similar with the group of German pop authors, whose 1999 meeting at the Hotel Adlon was devoted to a comprehensive stylistic critique of literary and cultural life. This article takes this observation as an opportunity to explore the structural and rhetorical analogies of these two very different and at the same time influential literary groups, taking into account theoretical concepts of Michel Foucault and Peter Bürger.
