Abstract

The formation and coexistence of four aluminum compounds, namely, gibbsite (Al(OH)3), boehmite (AlOOH), alumina (Al2O3) and alunite (NaAl3(OH)6(SO4)2) is reported under laboratory conditions. These solid phases were formed as hydrolytic products of aluminum sulphate solutions at room temperature. -from Author
