Abstract

Information about the fishing season can be used by fishermen as a reference in carrying out fishing activities. Fishing operations can be maximized, if fishermen know the pattern of the fishing season that occurs. The objectives of this study are 1) Analyze the Catch Per Unit Effort of frigate tuna (Auxis thazard) landed at Muara Kintap Fishing Port. 2) Analyze the fishing season pattern of frigate tuna (Auxis thazard) landed at Muara Kintap Fishing Port. 3) Analyze the distribution of the fishing ground of the frigate tuna (Auxis thazard) landed at the Muara Kintap Fishing Port. The data needed in this study are primary data in the form of interviews with fishermen about fishing gear, fishing seasons and fishing grounds and secondary data in the form of data on the catch of frigate tuna landed at Muara Kintap Fishing Port in 2014-2023 and supporting literature. The analysis method used is catch per unit effort, and the pattern of fishing seasons using the time series analysis method (moving average). The results obtained were the highest CPUE value of gill nets in 2014 at 114.77 kg/trip and the lowest in 2022 at 24.70 kg/trip. Purse seine was the highest in 2022 at 3,890.75 kg/trip and the lowest in 2018 at 62.85 kg/trip. The peak of the frigate tuna fishing season occurs in March, April and December. The distribution of the frigate tuna fishing ground covering marine waters.
