Abstract

The easternmost limit of atlantic heath communities (Ulicon minoris) in the North—East of the France is located in Burgundy and southern Champagne. Some species such as Ulex minor, Ulex europaeus, Erica cinerea, Erica tetralix, Genista anglica are still frequent. Atlantic heaths are presents in Morvan, Puisaye, Northern Auxerrois, Gâtinais, where two communities have been recorded: Ulici minoris—Ericenion ciliaris (more mesophilous) and Ulici minoris—Ericenion cinereae (more xerophilous). In Champagne humide, the continental heath community Genisto pilosae-Vaccinion is represented. © 2008, Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
