Berdasarkan data yang disampaikan oleh Meteri Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan (LHK) menyebutkan bahwa timbunan sampah di Indonesia tahun 2020 mencapai 67,8 ton. Pertumbuhan jumlah penduduk juga diperkirakan akan membuat jumlah ini terus meningkat. Sampah plastik di Indonesia mencapai 64 juta ton per tahun 3,2 ton yang dibuang ke laut dan yang dibuang dilingkungan sebanyak 10 miliar lembar sampah pertahun atau sebanyak 85.000 per tahun. Permasalahan sampah yang begitu kompleks disebabkan karena kurangnya pengetahuan masyarakat tentang pentingnya kebersihan dan kesehatan lingkungan, disebabkan karena kurangnya informasi yang diterima, ditunjang dengan bagaimana masyarakat bersikap dan bertindak. Berdasarkan survey masyarakat pesisir pantai Kampung Barangka mempunyai kebiasaan membuang sampah di pantai. Tujuan penelitian ingin mengetahui Perilaku Masyarakat dalam Membuang Sampah di Pesisir Pantai Kampung Barangka Kecamatan Manganitu Kabupaten Kepulauan Sangihe. Jenis penelitian deskriptif metode survey. Hasil penelitian masyarakat pesisir pantai Kampung barangka berpengetahuan baik, bersikap baik namun bertindak kurang baik dalam melakukan perilaku hidup bersih sehat. Based on data submitted by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (LHK) it is stated that the landfill in Indonesia in 2020 reached 67.8 tons. The problem of waste is so complex due to a lack of public knowledge about the importance of environmental hygiene and health, due to the lack of information received, supported by how people behave and act. Based on a survey, the coastal community of Barangka Village has a habit of throwing garbage on the beach. The purpose of the study was to find out about Community Behavior in Disposing of Garbage on the Coastal Coast of Barangka Village, Manganitu District, Sangihe Islands Regency. This type of research is the descriptive survey method. The results of the research of the coastal community of Barangka Village have good knowledge, and behave well but act poorly in carrying out clean and healthy living behavior.
