Abstract

Private Universities in South Sumatra Province currently use information systems and information technology in their business processes, but the use of these technologies has not been optimal, resulting in not achieving competitive advantage in running business processes. In this research, the Information System Strategic Planning will be formulated to be implemented in PTS South Sumatra Province with a case study at the Indo Global Mandiri University (UIGM) Palembang. The Information System Strategic Plan that is compiled is oriented to the vision and mission of the organization to align information systems and information technology with the business strategy that is carried out. The Information System Strategic Plan applies the Price Waterhouse Cooper framework, so that this research produces the Strategic Plan Information System in the form of a portfolio of future applications to meet the needs of Private University information systems. The Information System Strategic Plan is expected to be included in the formulation of a business strategic plan so that it can solve the problems faced by Private University.
