Abstract
This paper provides an overview of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in children and adolescents. Manifestations of reactions to stress are briefly noted, and incidence and prevalence of PTSD in this population reviewed. An up-to-date overview of treatment is then given, followed by comments on some key issues and on research questions for the future.
