Abstract

The current research is mainly focused on the synthesis of graphene quantum dots from the fresh extracts of Dhruva Grass (Cynodon Dactylon) by a One-pot, facile, solvothermal method at 60°C for 1 hr using a solvent mixture of Methanol and acetone in a ratio of 1:1. The high resolution transmission electron microscope image showed the formation of Graphene quantum dots with average size of 3-5 nm with the fluorescent quantum yield of 49.1%.
