Abstract

The description of a new Eupitheciu species (Lepidoptera: Geometridae) is presented. Its distribution comprises three valleys in northernmost Chile: Azapa, Chaca and Camarones. The habitus of adult, the genitalia of both sexes, and the last segment of the female pupa are described and illustrated. Larvae feed on inflorescence of Acacia macracantha and Prosopis tamarugo (Fabaceae).
