Abstract

The Pact for Mexico signed in 2012 identified 108 policy actions to be implemented during the government of Enrique Pena Nieto. The signing of this agreement was the prelude to a new wave of market reforms. This article summarizes a previous document in which we analysed each reform implemented in several areas: labour, education, fiscal, financial, economic competition, telecommunications, and energy. This paper affirms and insists on the need to launch a new development agenda that promotes sustained growth, with the main focus being to reduce inequality and promote social mobility.
