Abstract
The author, a recognized classic of the French school of regional geography, expresses animadversion regarding the new German political geography (Geopolitik). For that purpose, he performs a textual analysis of seven works published between 1925 and 1930 by the most distinguished authors of the new discipline of vast ambitions that abandons, largely, the tradition of the Politische Geographie teacher Friedrich Ratzel, as the author tries to explain. In the last section, he adopts a critical position against ideas and explanations given in the analyzed books and in the group's magazine, as they try to put their knowledge to the service of nationalist politics and of military and ideological expansionism. The article, that will afterwards constitute a closing of ranks of French geography against the German political geography, concludes with this allegation of Geopolitics.
