Abstract

Er3+-doped fiber-lasers efficiently generate frequency-combs for optical frequency metrology. 3.5 nJ energy, 35 fs duration and 100 MHz repetition-rate laser pulses are used to optain an octave spanning frequency-comb in the visible. © 2006 Optical Society of America.
