Abstract
The objective of the research is to analyze the impact of using the virtual classroom in the teaching-learning processes of the university students who study the physiology and pathophysiology subject. We conducted a quantitative descriptive, comparative, and longitudinal research. The technique used was the survey and we worked with a universe of 67 university students of the Faculty of Medicine in the period March-August 2016. In a first stage was diagnosed on ICT tools to the universe and in the second stage, it was established that parallel B would be facilitated by a traditional teaching methodology and parallel A through the virtual classroom. As a result, the experimental group achieved a better academic performance, surpassing the control group by 2,2 points in the average. It was concluded that the use of virtual classrooms has a positive influence on the teaching-learning process.
