Annual flu shot: Does it help patients with COVID-19?

Abstract

Aim of the study: The impact of annual flu vaccination on the patients’ clinical course with COVID-19 and the outcome were tested. Methods: A total of 149 patients with COVID-19-positive admitted from March 20 to May 10, 2020, were retrospectively enrolled. Results: Ninety-eight (65.8%) patients received at least a single annual flu shot in the last year, and fifty-one (34.2%) were never vaccinated.
