Abstract

Every experience we undergo leaves a trace in our life. Museums offer an opportunity to expose children to experience and explore new objects in a rich and educational environment. In the museum, children experience the world through material representations. The purpose of the present paper was to obtain a further understanding of plannnig an effective museum experience process. Planning a Museum Visit consists of several steps or phases – before the visit, during the visit and after the visit -. This study is an attempt to discuss the meaning and functions of museum and describe the learning process during the museum visits. This article can be thought of as a review of the literature on the place of museum-experience in childhood education.
