Abstract

Diplomatic asylum continues having many loopholes in international law. It is a complex figure because of the several politic elements which characterize it. However, practice is plentiful: Whether under the name of humanitarian protection or diplomatic asylum in a strict sense. The purpose of this study is to highlight the practice of States when granting political persecuted persons. The former compels to reflect on the political nature of diplomatic asylum, the sovereignty of States or the possible recognition of diplomatic asylum in the international order even as a Human Right. Contradictions of States regarding diplomatic asylum require address a detailed legal regulation. (English) [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
