Abstract

Hetero- and homoleptic dinuclear zinc(i) complexes containing the macrocycle Me4TACD (N,N′,N′′,N′′′-1,4,7,10-tetramethylcyclododecane) were prepared; the heteroleptic complex [(Me4TACD)Zn-ZnCp*]+ reacted with activated hydrocarbons R-H (R = CH2CN, C=RCPh) to give the corresponding hydrocarbyl zinc(ii) complexes [(Me4TACD)ZnR]+.
