REVITALIZATION COMMUNITY-BASED DEVELOPMENT IN THE REGION

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the importance of community-based development in the regions so that the process of implementing development in the regions (in particular, in rural areas) to catch up with urban areas can occur without damaging the joints of decent human life that still exist in the local rural community. For this reason, it is necessary to reposition the public service apparatus (bureaucrats in the region) so that they can conduct their services quickly and precisely, for the benefit of the local community, under sociocultural compatibility. Thus, it is possible to avoid building technocratic structures and mechanisms without efforts to understand the social fabric of a particular area and without efforts to adapt them to the sociocultural context. With the current decentralized and democratic government system in effect, the opportunity to revitalize community-based development is possible to spur it in regions (in particular, rural areas) and catch up with urban areas so that the improvement of the country's economy and the welfare of the people, can be felt by all the Indonesians in all corners of this country. Novelty in this study is community-based development based on the community's local culture with the application of Technology 4.0.
