Abstract

Isomerization issues have been encountered during the ring-closing metathesis (RCM) step of a new approach towards pentalenene. This paper describes the mechanistic insights gained during the study of this side reaction from a substrate perspective. Isomerization issues have been encountered during the RCM step of a new approach towards pentalenene. Copyright © 2011 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim.
