Abstract
PT XYZ is a company that produces Sheet Film located in Cilegon. The problem that occurs at PT XYZ is related to the issue of quality control where the number of defects is high in the product so that many complaints are made by buyers. The purpose of this research is to identify the types of defects that exist in the product and determine the factors that cause product defects and analyze the efforts that need to be made to reduce defects in Sheet Film products. Statistical Process Control is a technique used to ensure an operating process runs according to standards. This technique is a process used to monitor standards, make measurements, and take corrective actions while a product is being manufactured. The tools in measuring quality control used are Check Sheet, Histogram, Flowchart, Control map, Pareto diagram, Scattered Diagram, Cause-Effect Diagram and proposed quality improvement efforts with the Kaizen method. The results of the data processing carried out found that the highest type of defect was the ILK Defect type of 608 Roll, then the Thickness defect type of 109 Roll and the Scratch defect type of 98 Roll. The conclusion of this study is that proposals were obtained to improve several sectors both in terms of Humans, Machines, Methods, Materials, and also the environment
