Abstract

An investigation was carried out to study the scale morphology, arrangement and micro-ornamentation in three Indian snakes - Xenochrophis piscator, Naja naja and Eryx johni to understand their role, if any, in regulating locomotion and its use as a taxonomic tool. © ZOO.
