Abstract

The plant with the biggest inflorescence in the world is Amorphophallus titanum (Becc.) Becc. ex Arcang., originally described by Beccari as Conophallus titanum. In this work we discuss and determine the publication that must be regarded as the protologue, then designate a lectotype from among the original material.
